Revolutionary BBQ Brawl and Music Festival
The Revolutionary BBQ Brawl and Music Festival will take place at Chickahominy Riverfront Park from Friday to Sunday, featuring a plethora of activities suitable for individuals and families. Festivities kick off on Friday evening with food tastings alongside barbecue, beer, whiskey, and wine, with tickets available for $45. This event is not only about food; attendees can engage in a free family-fun bike ride and yoga session on Saturday, starting at 9:30 a.m. A highlight of Saturday evening will be a free concert by Full Moon Fever, a tribute band performing the hits of Tom Petty at 6 p.m. Sunday wraps up with a 5K race and a 1K fun run, with registration fees set at $35 for the 5K and $25 for the 1K. Each ticket includes a T-shirt, a barbecue sandwich with a side, and one drink ticket. The post-race festivities will feature a live performance by Skinner Box.
Art on the Square
This May also marks the 59th Annual Art on the Square event, which is scheduled for Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Duke of Gloucester Street. This arts festival will showcase the work of 100 fine artists, providing a platform for local talent to be recognized.
