Williamsburg, Virginia – Several new eateries and businesses have recently opened their doors in Virginia’s Historic Triangle, enhancing the local economy and providing residents with fresh dining and shopping options. This summer, Dizzy Izzy’s by FoodaTude debuted on Jamestown Road, a health-conscious restaurant committed to serving clean food made from high-quality, organic ingredients sourced from trusted vendors. Co-founders Jim and Izzy Kennedy have expressed their excitement about sharing their unique menu that reflects their dedication to wholesome dining.

Meanwhile, Udder Nonsense Creamery, a new venture specializing in gelato and cheese, is set to start selling products next month at Market 5 complex along Route 5. Founded by Steve Rose, who is also known for establishing Williamsburg Event Rentals and CultureFix, the creamery operates from a dairy farm in Charles City County. The gelato is crafted using milk from three dairy cows named Harriett, Clarabell, and Hokie, infusing local charm into their offerings. Udder Nonsense Creamery specializes in an array of eight gelato flavors, including classic vanilla and chocolate, as well as innovative choices like salted caramel pecan and chocolate cherry cheesecake. Under the guidance of Cubstead, co-owner of the creamery, the production emphasizes natural ingredients and unique flavor experimentation.

Consumers can find Udder Nonsense Creamery products in various local eateries, including Indian Fields Tavern, Dizzy Izzy’s, and Burgers on the Edge, highlighting the creamery’s integration into the local food scene.

In addition to food establishments, the Junkluggers and Remix Market Williamsburg have relocated to a new address at 7812 Richmond Road. The Junkluggers, a business that aims to reduce landfill waste by reusing items while aiding local charities, has gained a larger processing space in the new location. This move is expected to boost brand recognition and expand community support.

Looking ahead, Nordstrom Inc., a Seattle-based company, announced plans to open a new Nordstrom Rack in the Williamsburg area next year. Scheduled to launch in fall 2026, the store will be situated along Monticello Avenue within the Settlers Market shopping complex. This new Nordstrom Rack will encompass approximately 25,000 square feet and provide customers with discounts of up to 70% on a variety of retail items such as apparel, accessories, beauty products, shoes, and home décor. There are currently seven other Nordstrom Rack locations operating within Virginia, signaling the company’s continued investment in the region.

These openings reflect a burgeoning local business scene in Williamsburg and surrounding areas, offering new opportunities for residents to enjoy unique dining experiences and convenient shopping solutions. The emergence of these establishments not only stimulates the local economy but also embraces community values in providing quality food and sustainable business practices.
