Eileen Byrne’s musical journey began in her early years, influenced by a diverse range of music due to her parents’ varied tastes. Her father, hailing from Queens, often played the iconic music of Billy Joel, while her mother, from Kansas, introduced her to the soulful melodies of Motown. Byrne’s love for music led her to take piano lessons starting in the second grade, followed by joining the fourth-grade band where she played the flute.
Byrne continued to nurture her passion by participating in the University of Kansas marching band during her college years, where she performed on the piccolo. Although she did not specialize in music academically, Byrne’s involvement in dance eventually transitioned her into the world of musical theater.
