Originally, Oceans & Ale planned to move to a 5,000-square-foot standalone restaurant built on the former Yankee Candle property on Richmond Road. However, budget constraints led Wagner and the team to pivot to the former Ruby Tuesday site close to the Monticello Marketplace. This strategic decision not only allowed for a more manageable budget but also resulted in a location that offers its own parking lot, enhancing accessibility for patrons.
The expansion includes a larger kitchen, which enables Oceans & Ale to enhance its menu offerings. The team is planning to be more creative and diverse in their cuisine, distancing themselves from the limitations imposed by the previous outlet location.
