LaFollette, TN – Elizabeth Norton Sharp, a cherished mother and grandmother, passed away at the age of 96 on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. Her death marks the end of a long and fulfilling life dedicated to her family and her community.

Sharp was a devoted member of the West LaFollette Baptist Church, where she engaged with her faith and the congregation. Known for her vibrant spirit, she found joy in watching the Atlanta Braves, showcasing her love for sports. Her greatest passion, however, was her family, particularly her grandchildren, to whom she devoted much of her time and affection.

Elizabeth is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Sharp, and her daughter, Karen Williamson. She also mourns the loss of her parents, Robert and Sarah Overton Norton, as well as her siblings: C.H. Norton, Virgil Norton, and Helen Randolph.

She is survived by her daughter, Sara Hurt and husband Michael of LaFollette, and her son, Ken Sharp and wife Patty of Williamsburg, VA. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Amanda Wilson and husband Troy of Knoxville; Preston Sharp and wife Maria Paula of Raleigh, NC; Davin Sharp and wife Rebecca of Florida; and Anthony Williamson of Tazewell. Additionally, Elizabeth is survived by her son-in-law, Fred Williamson of Speedwell, along with several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 10:15 AM at Martin Wilson Funeral Home to honor her life. Following the gathering, a funeral procession will proceed to Campbell Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 AM graveside service. The service will be officiated by Rev. Sampson Ridenour, providing a moment for reflection and remembrance in the presence of loved ones.

The care of Elizabeth Norton Sharp has been entrusted to Martin Wilson Funeral Home, known for their commitment to family-centered service during times of loss.

Elizabeth’s life was one that exemplified love and devotion to family. Her warmth will be missed by all who knew her, and her legacy will live on through the memories cherished by her family and friends.
