Williamsburg, Virginia will welcome a new culinary addition as Chicken Salad Chick celebrates its grand opening during the week of May 27, 2025. This new restaurant is located at 4640 Casey Blvd in Settlers Market, occupying the former site of Mooyah Burgers.
The Williamsburg location marks the fourth establishment for franchise owner Melissa Holt, who also operates Chicken Salad Chick locations in Hampton, Norfolk, and Chesapeake. Holt’s expansion in the region adds to the local economy and offers residents a new dining option.
Chicken Salad Chick, established in 2008 in Auburn, Alabama by Stacy and Kevin Brown, is recognized as the only fast-casual restaurant chain in the United States dedicated solely to fresh, made-from-scratch chicken salad. The restaurant’s menu features an array of chicken salad flavors, along with sandwiches, sides, soups, and desserts—all prepared fresh on-site daily.
As part of the grand opening celebrations, the first 100 guests in line will receive complimentary chicken salad for a year. Additionally, the week will be packed with events and giveaways, where guests buying a “Chick Trio” can earn free items, including tumblers, tote bags, and golf towels. Participants must be at least 16 years old to qualify for the giveaways.
Beyond food, Chicken Salad Chick is committed to supporting the community. The new outlet will partner with the local nonprofit organization FISH, which assists individuals in need by providing food, clothing, and small housewares to residents in Williamsburg, James City County, and York County.
The restaurant’s regular business hours will be from Monday to Saturday, 10:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Chicken Salad Chick will offer a comfortable dining experience with dine-in seating, a patio area, takeout services, and third-party delivery options. For those planning events, catering services will also be available.
Known for its Southern hospitality and strong community-focused values, Chicken Salad Chick aims to create an inviting atmosphere in which customers can enjoy delicious meals while giving back to the local area. Residents interested in the grand opening festivities can follow the Williamsburg location on Facebook for updates and more information.
The establishment’s arrival is anticipated to provide a unique dining experience for the Williamsburg community, which has shown increasing interest in fast-casual dining options.
