Williamsburg, VA – Patsy “Pat” Faye Bowden Driscoll, a devoted educator and beloved family matriarch, passed away on September 30, 2025, at the age of 80. She leaves behind a rich legacy of love and dedication that touched numerous lives in her community.

Born on January 10, 1945, in Wolf Creek, WV, Pat was a lifelong resident of Williamsburg, VA. Her 26-year career as a bus driver for the Williamsburg/James City County Public Schools highlighted her commitment to children and families, whom she treated as part of her own. Pat was not only a transport service for students but also a source of support and encouragement, nurturing a sense of family that extended beyond the classroom.

In addition to her professional contributions, Pat had personal passions that contributed to her vibrant life. She had a profound love for reading and enjoyed taking trips back to her roots in West Virginia. Family gatherings were a highlight for Pat; she cherished hosting events that brought her loved ones together, reinforcing her role as the glue that kept her family connected.

Pat’s family ties were extensive. She is survived by her brother, John Bowden, and her children: Frank Driscoll and his wife Kim, Tammy McCormick and her husband Rory, Kenny Driscoll and his wife Amy, and Todd Driscoll. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, including Danielle Young (Kevin), Briana Morris (Justin), Courtney Thompson (Mike), Abby McGuire (Alex), Nick Driscoll (Destiny), Bodie Driscoll, and Patrick Driscoll. Additionally, she leaves behind great-grandchildren: Hunter Morris, Walker Young, Wyatt Thompson, Franklin McGuire, Palmer Young, Theo Driscoll, and Phoebe McGuire, as well as Kenny Thompson. Pat also enjoyed the presence of her bonus grandchildren, Micah and Makenzie Newman, along with many loving nieces and nephews.

Pat Driscoll was preceded in death by her parents, John and Louise Bowden; her sister, Teresa Bowden Savage; and her great-grandson, Coleman “Cole” Young. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family and community members who witnessed her compassionate spirit and unwavering support.

A service to honor Patsy Faye Bowden Driscoll’s life is scheduled for Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 11:00 AM. The memorial will take place at Nelsen Funeral Home, located at 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg, VA 23188. Friends, family, and community members are invited to participate in celebrating her life and sharing fond memories.
