Born on October 27, 1934, in Williamsburg, Anne was a proud alumna of the College of William and Mary. Throughout her professional career, she held upper management positions at the Lee Gift Shop and the Trimble Collection. Known for her exemplary leadership and unwavering dedication, Anne earned the respect and admiration of colleagues and community members alike.

Anne’s love for nature was evident in her interests, which included gardening, reading, and walking. She cherished moments spent at the beach, her favorite retreat. Together with her late husband, Edward E. Jones, Anne shared a passion for crabbing and biking, creating lasting memories of joy and companionship.

Faith and heritage played vital roles in Anne’s life. She was an active participant in Bruton Parish Church, where her devotion was felt by many. Her commitment to community extended beyond her church; she was involved with several notable organizations, including:

  • United Daughters of the Confederacy

Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, as well as her parents, Elizabeth and Allen Callis. She is survived by her two sons, Mark Jones and his wife Thao, and Michael Jones and his wife Melissa. She leaves behind a loving family, including her grandchildren, Emily and Sarah Jones of Charleston, Andrew Jones and his wife Sara of North Carolina, and Alex Jones and his wife Melanie of Texas. Her great-grandchildren, William and Savannah of North Carolina, will always remember her loving presence.

A private service is scheduled to take place at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Williamsburg, where Anne will be laid to rest next to her husband, Edward. Friends and family may express their sympathy through memorial contributions to the Hospice House of Williamsburg, in lieu of flowers.

Anne Callis Jones will be remembered for her grace, warmth, and unwavering devotion to both her family and her community. Bucktrout Funeral Home is assisting her family with the arrangements, as they navigate this profound loss together.
