In this competitive event, Dewey was joined by her teammate Esther Ireland, who closely trailed her with a commendable third place finish, also achieving five top-five results. Arabella Duer added to the team’s success by finishing fifth, with four top-five finishes in her races, contributing to ODU’s overall strong performance at the regatta.
In addition to the Faye Bennett regatta, ODU’s Monarchs also displayed their capabilities at the Chesapeake Invitational, where they attained a fourth place finish overall. Looking ahead, ODU Sailing has announced its fall 2023 schedule, which begins with the Laser South Regatta set to take place on September 9 in Annapolis, Maryland.
