The chaperone policy requires that all guests aged 15 and younger visit the park with an adult chaperone who is at least 21 years old after 4 p.m. Each chaperone is allowed to supervise up to six minors and must enter the park with the group, stay inside the park throughout their visit, and be reachable by phone. Should any guest aged 15 and younger be found inside the park without an available chaperone, they may be removed without a refund.
In addition to the chaperone requirement, guests aged 16 and older must present a valid government-issued photo ID that includes their birth date to gain entry into the park. Acceptable forms of identification include a driver’s license, state-issued ID card, passport, and military ID. Guests who cannot present valid ID may be denied entry to the event.
This policy is a continuation of measures first implemented in 2024, primarily in response to safety concerns raised during past Howl-O-Scream events. The decision to reinstate the chaperone policy follows multiple disturbances, including a large fight during the opening weekend of Howl-O-Scream—a situation where several hundred people were involved but fortunately resulted in no injuries.
